This cowboy candy pairs well with burgers, crackers, dips, mixed drinks and tons more. Enjoy!!
Ingredients:
- 6 jalapeños
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ medium white onion
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
Directions:
Step 1: Slice your jalapeños keeping the seeds. Cut off the stem. Place your jalapeños slices into a mixing bowl.
Step 2: Cut up your garlic pieces and thinly slice your white onion in half. Add those to the mixing bowl.
Step 3: Grab a pot and add in your apple cider vinegar and sugars. Mix together and boil on the stove on medium-high heat for about 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Add in your jalapeños slices, garlic, and onion. Continue to heat for 5 more minutes.
Step 5: Remove the cooked and softened jalapeños slices from the pot and transfer them to a mason jar. Then continue cooking the liquid on medium-high heat for another 10 minutes.
Step 6: Pour the liquid into the jar over the jalapeños slices. Allow it to cool.
Step 7: When the jar has cooled down to room temperature put the lid on the jar and place in the refrigerator.
Note: This is good for 2-3 months in the fridge.
